Undivided Oneness
You and the universe are not different things. The object you see is not different than your mind. If there is undivided oneness, then the apparent distinction between “you” and “the universe” is a distinction of description and perspective, not of what exists.
The universe is not something outside of you.
You are not something contained within the universe as a separate entity.
Rather, the universe exists as you, just as it exists as stars, trees, bodies, and thoughts.
The sense of being a separate “self” arises from localized biological processes—nervous systems creating boundaries for survival—but those boundaries do not mark a true metaphysical division. They are functional, not fundamental.
So, when you say, “the universe and you are not different things”, you are not denying experience or individuality; you are pointing out that:
individuality is real as a pattern,
but not real as an independent substance.
From this view, separation is a useful illusion, while oneness is the underlying fact of existence.
