Our lives are difficult and there is much conflict causing strong emotions. I heard someone say that all is fair in love and war. I say doing someone wrong is not fair in love or war.
I am doing great with Ramana Maharshi’s teachings. Here is a paraphrase:
The mind is a demon so stop thinking. If you give the mind an inch it will take you off course a mile. The demon mind causes us great suffering. Choose non-existence by giving yourself to the all powerful. Now there is no “me” to be murdered. There is no “me” to be done wrong.
Don’t forget the truism: If it works don’t fix it. I realize we need to protect ourselves, sometimes with great force. It is possible that Ramana’s method is the very best way to do just that. Life is too short to not find joy. We have the possibility to experience the great awakening.
We can be our own best friend or our own worst enemy.
